Bill Whiting is Wine Education Manager of Banfi vintners, the U.S.’ leading wine importer and a major producer of premium offerings in Italy.  Grandson of Banfi founder John F. Mariani, Sr., Bill takes particular pride in tailoring and implementing educational programs for wholesale and retail customers as well as select consumer groups.  His presentations focus on the wines of Italy, Chile, Argentina and Australia, while his classroom venues vary from boardrooms and conference centers to restaurants, wine shops and vineyards.  He keeps abreast of developments in his field through active involvement with such professional organizations as the Society of Wine Educators and the Dioneysian Society International.  After several years’ experience with an industry wholesaler, Bill joined Banfi in 1998.  He was responsible for sales in Missouri and Nebraska before taking on his current educational role.
