Kevin LePrince graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in economics in 1992 and then spent 12 years in the securities brokerage industry. In 2004 he abandoned a position as a Vice President with a major firm to pursue a career as a professional artist.
It didn't take long for him to be noticed. He gained membership into the Oil Painters of America, obtained representation by fine art galleries in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Colorado. His story and works have been the subject of many articles in local, regional and national publications including Charleston Style and Design and American Art Collector.
LePrince's alla prima style, bold brush strokes, and limited but vibrant palette make his work recognizable to his many collectors. Today his equine works adorn the walls of the “Ocean Room” inside Kiawah's esteemed 5 star Sanctuary Hotel and his dramatic landscapes hang in the grand entrance at Hilton Head's Wexford Plantation House. The Figure Eight Island Club and Bald Head Island Club own several stylized heron paintings. CEOs, Corporations, and private individuals have placed LePrince's works in collections all over the globe. |
